Rosh Hashanah day 1 Tashlich at the beach

Email for ticket details and location tzimtzumcollective@gmail.com

What to expect- Come participate in meaningful, queer, trans, non-zionist, ant-zionist, questioning, curious and confused inclusive Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur services through song, breath, Hebrew and English, receiving and giving, community care and connection, G/d language and love. Our services will be full of ecstatic joy and hold space for our collective grief. Services will be led by Rabbi Chel Mandell (they/them) and Chaplain & sacred song leader Reed Love (they/them) founder of We Are Stardust. We also have a soul elevating singing team! Register for tickets at the bottom of the form.

Who is welcome- We invite Jews particularly those on the margins of mainstream Jewish community, those who are on the path to a Jewish life, Jewish adjacent, those who are part of a Jewish family or friend circle, baby Jews and our wise elders, BIJOC, disabled, queers, trans, bisexuals, anti-zionist, non-zionist, questioning, confused and lost. You are all invited to participate and sanctify the new Jewish year as we grieve, cry, mourn, and also rejoice together.

Tickets- This is a sliding scale event: $72-$180 per person - OR become a member today! This is the best financial approach. All proceeds go towards the production of the event and your generous support is greatly appreciated. We also understand that not all have the funds at this time, and we still invite you to come! (NOTAFLOF) We offer a limited amount of volunteer positions as work trade.

Dress- Come in the way you feel most comfortable and alive. Some will be dressed up in a more formal attire for the holy day and some in Santa Cruz comfort. It might be hot so bring shade coverage for yourself and sunscreen.

Time - Come and go as you need. Please enter the space with intention and peace. The service will be about 2 hours followed by community hang and picnic for Rosh Hashanah. Let time melt away on this day.

What to bring- Water, hat, sunscreen, food for your own picnic. If you have a preferred chair, bring it! We have benches. It will be hot so think about sun coverage. You may want walking shoes as it will be a 7-10 min walk from the parking and bus access to the garden. Bring a shofar for Rosh Hashanah if you would like!

Accessibility- This is an outdoor community garden space on a farm. The pathways are sometimes uneven and on inclines. Accessible bathrooms are available on-site and limited accessible parking is available upon request. Masks are optional, but please stay home if you feel at all sick. Please reach out if you have additional questions or requests related to accessibility. We want to support your access. We ask that you reach out by Sept. 20th with access needs.
